Design

The learning curve to become an adept designer was quite large for me. The first few designs took a rather long time and required me to ask many questions to my editors and advisers to learn the necessary tools. However, I continued to ask questions and explore the software to become knowledgeable about all its capabilities. Now, I guide staffers who are in the same position as I was design-wise. This makes my feedback especially effective as I can easily put myself in their shoes. 

Furthermore, I have grown to like the fact that I am both the writer and designer of my work. Since I know my writing inside and out, I can strategically apply design principles to make my pages compelling to the reader.
